Relationship between bearing and load direction

Under normal circumstances, for the use requirements of pure radial load, deep groove ball bearing or cylindrical roller bearing can be selected. If it is thrust ball bearing, it is only suitable for bearing an appropriate amount of pure axial load, and unidirectional thrust ball bearing can only bear bearing load from one direction.
If it is a two-way thrust ball bearing or a two-way thrust angular contact bearing, it can bear axial loads in two directions. For example, if the bearing bears the combined radial and axial load, the angular contact ball bearing or tapered roller bearing is usually used, while if it is a four-point contact ball bearing and a two-way thrust angular contact ball bearing, it can bear the combined load in two directions with the advantage of bearing fou load.
However, if the bearing fou load in the combined load is relatively large, the thrust bearing is only used to bear the axial load, which is not related to the radial load. If a suitable single row radial ball bearing or four point contact ball bearing is used to bear the axial load, an appropriate radial clearance should be maintained between the outer ring and the seat hole.
If the load action deviates from the center of the bearing, it may cause overturning torque. According to the introduction of stainless steel bearing manufacturers, double row ball bearings can withstand overturning torque. However, it is recommended that you choose paired angular contact balls or paired tapered roller bearings, which can be face-to-face or back-to-back. Of course, cross tapered roller bearings can also be selected.
